The desk

Best Top 10 Tech is a ranking publication for everyday tech. Buyers search "best video doorbell" and "best EV" — not a conglomerate name. We meet that query with a scored Top 10, a public rubric, and no auction for first place. Discovery is organic: we do not buy ads to put this site in front of you. The newsroom is a citation desk: headlines from The Verge, 9to5Mac and others, plus YouTube and TikTok we send you to. We do not rewrite their stories.

The site launched in August 2026. v1 rankings are editorial composites: published specs, press consensus across Wirecutter/CNET/DPReview-class desks, value, and a 30-minute news ingest so a launch or a recall can move a footnote the same day. They are not a 40,000 sq ft lab. We will not pretend otherwise.

What we will not do: sell a rank, bury a disclosure, or mass-generate thin "best X 2026" pages with the same three paragraphs. Amazon's 2026 Associates rules and Google's helpful-content system both punish that. So do we.
